Main duties of the job To assess, diagnose and manage a caseload of clients with speech, language and communication difficulties across settings including clinics, homes and nurseries. Providing assessment and intervention to children aged 0-18 with a Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Children are seen in their homes and in community clinics. This post will require proficient clinical skills but also an ability to work closely with a range of other professionals including Specialist Advisory Teachers/ Teacher of the Deaf, Audiologists, Doctors/Hospital Teams and Special Educational Needs Coordinators. The appointed therapist will maintain up-to-date knowledge of national guidelines and policies related to service delivery. To assess clients referred to the speech and language therapy service and to develop and implement specialist SLT treatment packages.
