This is an onsite, permanent position where you will leverage your mechanical engineering experience to lead and supervise a multiskilled team, ensuring all activities are completed on time and to a high standard.
The role is suited to candidates with shipbuilding experience and previous supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing main machinery on new build vessels
Reading and understanding technical drawings
Setting up and aligning shafts, thrusters, rudders, gearboxes, pumps and commissioning mechanical equipment
Maximising labour utilisation by setting work for the team to meet delivery schedules
Providing technical advice to the team and identifying process improvements
Updating all relevant documents including daily progress registers, log books, accident books, training, performance records, and attendance logs
Job Requirements:
Educated to HNC level in a related subject
Supervisory experience in an industrial environment
IT skills, especially MS Office
