4:00 PM Supply Desk is working with a supportive Special Needs School in Southampton that caters specifically to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join the team after Easter. This long-term role will run until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract from September 2025. About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering Maths and English lessons in small group settings, typically working with 35 students at a time. Lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of learners, many of whom require a nurturing and structured approach to learning. Youll be part of a skilled and supportive team focused on helping students build both academic skills and emotional resilience. The School:

With small class sizes, excellent support staff, and a clear behaviour policy, this is an ideal opportunity for teachers looking to make a meaningful difference. The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be passionate about supporting students with SEMH and complex needs
Have experience teaching or working with young people in SEN/SEMH settings
Be confident delivering functional Maths and English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Be calm, patient, and adaptable in approach
Have strong behaviour management and communication skills
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
