The Opportunity The Programme Manager (Capability, Change & Integration) is responsible for designing, structuring, and implementing the framework that enables the effective management of capability, integration and change initiatives. This role ensures that the organisation has the right governance, processes, tools, and methodologies to plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple initiatives and programmes. The role As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for establishing programme management structures, embedding governance frameworks, and ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and execution. This role is critical in ensuring that capability, integration and change efforts are effectively managed, risks are controlled, and stakeholders are engaged, allowing the organisation to drive long-term change efficiently within a complex regulatory and operational environment. This is an active delivery support role requiring strong senior organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively within a complex and dynamic environment. Your duties and responsibilities will be Programme Development & Strategic Alignment Direct design and implement a structured framework for managing transformation and change initiatives. Develop methodologies to ensure transformation programmes align with organisation key objectives. Direct how change initiatives are prioritised, sequenced, and integrated across business functions.Governance, Compliance & Risk Management Establish robust governance structures, decision-making processes, and reporting mechanisms. Ensure that transformation programmes comply with all relevant regulatory, financial, and operational standards. Develop a risk management approach to proactively identify and mitigate risks across multiple transformation initiatives.Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement Develop communication and engagement strategies to align stakeholders across different levels of the organisation. Improve collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and leadership to create a culture that supports transformation. Define a framework for measuring and improving stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth adoption of changes.Capability Development & Continuous Improvement Define and implement programme management standards, processes, and tools to enhance transformation execution. Establish a centre of excellence for transformation management, providing guidance, training, and best practices to teams managing change initiatives. Monitor transformation performance, ensuring continuous improvement and optimisation of programme management practices.Performance & Benefits Realisation Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of transformation initiatives. Ensure programmes deliver measurable business benefits, such as improved efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced capability. Establish feedback loops to refine programme management approaches based on data and stakeholder insights.You will have the following qualifications and experience Proven experience in developing and managing programme management frameworks for large-scale change initiatives. Expertise in operating models, governance design, portfolio management, and multi-programme coordination. Strong background new business capability requirements, change and integrated planning and business readiness for change. Experience in risk and compliance management in a highly regulated environment. Ability to design and embed programme management methodologies, tools, and reporting structures. Strong stakeholder engagement experience, particularly with senior executives and cross-functional teams. Programme management qualification Business Change Management qualification or relevant equivalent experience Institute of Asset Management Endorsed Assessor or equivalentIt's great if you also have the following Experience of working with the Ministry of Defence / HM Government. Experience of working in highly regulated environments. Asset Management qualification.The setting for the role Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site.
