Key Responsibilities:
As a Vetting Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing security clearance processes, ensuring compliance with national security standards. You will act as a key point of contact for vetting procedures, providing guidance and maintaining accurate records to support organisational security.
* Vetting Sponsorship & Administration: Manage and sponsor National Security Vetting (NSV) Clearance applications through the UKSV portal, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
* Record Management: Maintain the Vetting Register, ensuring all records are accurate, up-to-date, and securely stored.
* Policy & Compliance Guidance: Provide clear and pragmatic advice on vetting requirements, procedures, processes, and relevant legislation to internal teams and stakeholders.
* Data & Reporting: Collate and distribute vetting statistics, contributing to reports and dashboards such as IPSA to monitor and enhance security performance.
* Processing & Transfers: Handle CPCs, SAFs, and vetting transfer requests, ensuring a smooth and efficient clearance process.
* Security Assurance & Access Management: Oversee the vetting application process, ensuring compliance and issuing GovPass access cards where required.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contracting authorities and relevant government agencies.
* Visitor Security Management: Oversee internal and external visitor clearance procedures, ensuring secure access management where security clearances are required.
About You:
You are a detail-oriented and highly organised professional with experience in security vetting administration. You are confident in managing vetting processes, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with national security standards.
* Experience in security vetting administration, ideally within a government or highly regulated environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK vetting processes, including UKSV and security clearance levels.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information securely and confidentially.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and build relationships across all levels.
* Ability to analyse data, produce reports, and contribute to security performance dashboards.
* Experience in stakeholder management, working with government agencies, contractors, and internal teams.
* Familiarity with GovPass access management and vetting application assurance processes is desirable.
* This role may require security clearance, and eligibility criteria will be discussed during the recruitment process.
