Job Advert: Public Health Consultant (Interim)
Location: Plough Lane, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR4 0LE (Hybrid)
Contract: Temporary (03/03/2025 - 28/11/2025)
Hours: 29 hours per week (4 days per week, 1 day in the office)
Rate:
1. PAYE: £80 per hour
2. Umbrella: £100 per hour
3. Business Mileage: 45p per mile
IR35 Status: Inside
The Role
Herefordshire Council is seeking an experienced Public Health Consultant to join our team on an interim basis. This role is crucial in advising and implementing public health policies to benefit the community. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance, conducting research, and developing evidence-based strategies to improve public health and well-being across Herefordshire. This position has a particular focus on Health Intelligence, evidence-based policy and services, Healthcare Public Health, and Health Protection. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that health initiatives are effective, inclusive, and aligned with our strategic goals.

1. Qualified Public Health Consultant with proven experience in health intelligence, evidence-based policy, and healthcare public health.
2. Strong background in health protection and the ability to provide expert advice.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and develop public health strategies.
