Our public sector client based in Gateshead currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Centre Receptionist to join their team as soon as possible!
Based at Riga, Baltic Business Centre, Corporate Office in Gateshead, the role will be temporary, lasting until the end of December 2024 initially, although likely to be extended. The hours of work will be 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with some flexibility around start and finish times.
The pay rate for the role will be £12.38 per hour.
Reporting to the Business Team Leader duties will include:
· To provide a first point of contact for all clients and visitors including the provision of reception and customer services, administrative functions, handling complaints
· To support the day-to-day operation of Council Business Centre's and conference facilities.
· To ensure the provision of an effective customer focused response to enquiries.
· To ensure client records are up to date.
· Such other responsibilities which are appropriate to the grade of the post.
The successful candidate will be:

· Using oral and written communication skills to engage with customers.
· Working on own initiative as well as part of a team
· Monitoring and data collection

The postholder will require a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant qualification
