Production Manager - Immediate start - 6 months minimum Interim post A 6-month (minimum) interim Production Manager opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK's most innovative and dynamic construction manufacturing companies based in Ince, Wigan. Hours : Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour week. Responsibilities: The Production Manager will be responsible for managing and mentoring production staff, providing leadership and guidance to foster a positive and productive work environment. Some key responsibilities related to staff management include: Staff Management : Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively. Monitor and evaluate the performance of production staff and provide feedback on areas for improvement. Implement corrective actions as needed. Identifying resourcing requirements and following relevant processes to ensure recruitment needs meet. Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among production staff and other departments. Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines. Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation to ensure that production targets are met, and staffing levels are appropriate. Identify opportunities for career development and advancement for production staff and support their professional growth. Production Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and minimise costs Deliver the daily production plan optimising resources and communicating performance against targets & KPIs Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, safety, and productivity Plan and manage the production process, ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and efficiency standards What we need from you To be successful in this role, the Production Manager will have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as experience managing a team in a manufacturing or construction environment.
