The Rutland Hotel, Sheffield's largest independent hotel, with 63 bedrooms, in the heart of the city. The Rutland is renowned for its outstanding personal service and unique blend of traditional Victorian character and contemporary design.
We are now looking to expand our incredible team and are seeking an experienced Duty Manager, with hotel experience and knowledge of Food & Beverage operations. This is a full time position working rota’d shifts over 5 of the 7 days a week between 7:00 – 15:00 and 15:00 – 23:00. Please note this will include working weekends.
Key responsibilities to include;
* Supervision and motivation of team members including recording of sickness and lateness notification
* Our managers cook the food for the room service menu in the evening, full training on how to cook each dish will be provided. Experience preferable.
* Adherence to Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation
* Ensuring high levels of customer service and that the guest’s expectations are met at all times
* Holding daily team meetings in the morning to run through the action plan for the day
* Adhere to Company & Brand Standards
* Preparation of financial reporting for the hotel and central office
* Adhere to all internal policies and procedures
* Training of new and existing team members
* Gain a comprehensive knowledge of our operating system RMS
* Have a good knowledge of local area and creating good connections with local businesses
* Ensuring hotel security, safety of guests including provision of first aid and taking control in an emergency situation
* To ensure that daily task sheets are completed by the team on shift
* Management of reception and food and beverage service including hands on support
* In-depth knowledge of all departments to assist with daily operations
* Any other duties that may be requested by the management
* You will be set personalised KPI’s to work towards
