Reporting into the Head of Projects & Insight, the Insight Analyst will work with large complex data sets produced by the International Data Team to create accurate, powerful and insightful reports and dashboards using live data. Dashboards and reports will then be easily accessible to colleague’s, adding value to the teams across Merchandising and Commercial to make better buying and selling decisions. You can expect to develop, maintain and automate analysis reports to make it easier for our colleagues to review the data and support with the decision-making process. The key responsibilities include: Develop, maintain, and automate data reports using reporting and analytical tools (such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, and Excel) Demonstrate data visualization abilities (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint) to develop a "story" of insights from large and complex data sets. Prepare to report to support merchandising teams within “sourcing events” or tenders, such as analysis on the commercial opportunity, best commercial vendor outcome etc. Consider "what if" scenarios. Lead in the development, maintenance and enhancement/optimization of reports and tools to support Category and Assortment (range) Management; improve usability of Sysco's internal data sources; drive long-term support for internal data management; identify and implement opportunities to further leverage 3rd party tools. Create dashboards using Tableau (or other tools as needed) and reports for Commercial teams to manage “Better Selling” and optimize SKU rationalisation Provide training on reporting tools and solutions as part of deployment and ongoing support users (eg. Tableau, 1010Data, Business Objects, Microsoft Access/Excel) Model, analyse and compare various supply chain scenarios using supply chain optimization tools, working in partnership with logistics. Develop standardized analytics and easily understandable reporting outputs / dashboards to communicate outputs effectively and leverage these tools to define the current state for a given product range, including range definition and scope, current spend and cost drivers, customer and segment landscape, comparisons across markets and existing supply network mapping. Oversee, develop, and deploy new tools and technologies as needed to support the role. Knowledge, skills, experience, and competencies You’ll be an experienced Insight Analyst who has a strong understanding and knowledge of creating accurate live dashboards and reports. We are looking for an analytical and strategic thinker, someone who can use their experience to build and enhance our reporting and dashboard capabilities whilst identifying opportunities to roll out continuous improvement on reporting and functionality. You’ll have experience navigating complex data sets across a high volume of customers and various global markets. Strong communication skills are important to communicate effectively when presenting findings to senior stakeholders and customer groups. You will possess a strong technical knowledge of tools such as Tableau or Power BI to produce accurate reporting and dashboards. Python, SQL, and Alteryx would also be beneficial. Due to this being an International role, it would be advantageous for candidates to be proficient in a second language such as French, Swedish or Spanish, however not essential. PGM is a key initiative designed to improve Sysco’s margin and therefore facilitate growth for Sysco and is a project running concurrently across multiple international markets requiring detailed organisation and coordination. Within PGM we aim to make 100% data-based / fact-based decisions so this role is key to support that. The purpose of this new role is to work within a team that will coordinate from the centre projects to fast-track net margin enhancement for Sysco within the PGM project through better buying, better selling, and solving category assortment gap opportunities among other initiatives. Our goal is to deliver and partner with our suppliers and customers to positively change the way we buy and sell to improve margin % across the market to re-invest back into Sysco to support business growth.
