Executive Director International Marketing

Position Summary
The Executive Director, International Marketing is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Global Brand Strategy across the international markets (ex-US). The role works closely with the Global Brand Leads, Regional Vice Presidents, Cross Functional Leads, Global Commercial Operations and General Managers to define and execute priority initiatives that will advance our brands and support the rare disease communities we serve. As an integral part of the Global Marketing Team, the Executive Director, International Marketing will play a critical role in ensuring that the business priorities of the International Leadership Team are interlinked with those of the Global Marketing Team. The Executive Director, International Marketing reports directly to the Vice President, Global Marketing.
Roles And Responsibilities
Brand Strategy Implementation:
* Engage with Global Brand Leads, Cross-Functional International Leads and Commercial Leads in the international markets (ex-US) to:
* Refine the strategic direction for the brands based on market insights
* Identify and execute high priority tactics
* Establish SMART objectives, KPIs and methods for tracking
* Define opportunities for cross-border HCP experience sharing
* Leverage and expand successful country initiatives
* Ensure a common language & framework to capture individual market information
* Advise on country/region-specific communication requirements
Launch Excellence
Lead the development and implementation of the launch excellence framework for international markets and support pull through at country level.
Long-range Planning (LRP)
Partner with the Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), Global Commercial Operations, Finance and Decision Support to:
* Oversee feedback from markets and coherence with brand assumptions
* Identify and build business cases to accelerate growth for the brands and/or geographic expansion for approval through corporate governance
* Understand and communicate opportunities & risks related to international/regional PEST factors
Training & Development
Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of commercial field teams related to disease state, brand positioning and messaging.
Lead the development of roadmaps & workshops to advance marketing & sales excellence in coordination with Regional VPs and Commercial Operations.
Leadership & Development
Manage and mentor one direct report, ensuring clear communication, providing regular feedback, and fostering professional development.
Cross Functional Leadership
Partner with Regional Vice Presidents as a key member of the cross-functional International Business Operations Transformation Team (IBOTT) to set regional goals and implement strategic initiatives to advance performance across the region. Represent the voice of marketing & brand strategy within IBOTT and facilitate communication between Global & International stakeholders to ensure ongoing cross-functional strategic alignment.
Compliance And Governance
Ensure that all marketing activities align with Amicus’ internal policies and global regulatory, legal and compliance standards. Lead the implementation of systems and processes to meet these requirements effectively working within the defined governance framework.
Requirements
Educational Requirements
BSc/BA
Professional Work Experience Requirements
* Significant experience in marketing and/or commercial leadership within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including global/regional roles
* Experience in training/field force effectiveness preferred
* Experience managing cross-functional teams and global partners
* Rare Disease experience highly desirable with requirement of understanding of specialty therapeutics.

* High level of integrity and transparency, with a demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance requirements
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong formal presentation skills in front of internal and external audiences.
