To manage a defined caseload of clients within the Early Intervention Service, using evidence-based/client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions and record all interventions in line with the relevant clinical pathway (functional) as outlined within the operational procedure. To provide professional advice for junior staff and support staff. To participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of the service with the designated team, holding responsibility for defined projects. To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on fieldwork placement.
To abide by the College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and the College of Occupational Therapy Professional Standards for OT Practice. To participate in the duty assessment rota operated by the Community Mental Health Team. To have a designated caseload of service users with Primary OT needs. To take the lead on employment and vocational interventions and networking with local organisations/employers.
