We are a very well-established and growing Accountancy Practice based in Bramhall who are looking for a Semi-Senior Accountant with a minimum of 4 years' experience gained within a UK Accounting practice.
The ideal applicant will be someone who is seeking to progress their career and develop their skills in a fast-moving environment.
This role arises due to expansion, but we are never in a rush to recruit, instead finding an amazing new staff member is our goal.
Responsibilities:
1. The Semi Senior Accountant will be responsible for the independent preparation of mainly Statutory Accounts for a wide variety of clients.
2. Working with the Account Supervisors and the Partner and other staff on a number of client accounts.
3. Liaising directly with clients and resolving queries. Planning their own work and communicating clearly and effectively with clients and other staff by email and by telephone.
4. From time to time, preparing VAT Returns, Bank reconciliations and other adhoc duties.
The ideal Semi-Senior Accountant:
1. Must be AAT Qualified or part qualified.
2. Must have ideally 4 or more years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
3. Must be quickly able to adopt our firm’s file preparation techniques, and ideally will be familiar with using CCH accounting software or similar eg Iris. We will provide training and support to use CCH if you have not encountered it before.
4. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
5. Must be looking to progress and develop their career in Accountancy and strengthen their skills.
6. Have direct experience with the preparation of statutory accounts and preparing an accurate supporting file.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: In the centre of Bramhall, near Stockport with opportunities to work remotely for part of the week.
Salary: £28,000 to £34,000 per year
