Manager of Sales.
Role Overview:
The General Manager of Sales will play a key role in shaping and executing the UK sales strategy, managing a team of over 25 enterprise sales specialists and two sales managers. This role requires a dynamic, strategic leader who can drive growth, increase profitability, build high-performance sales teams, and set the gold standard for sales excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a winning UK sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
✅ Sales Performance Management: Set, track, and achieve ambitious sales targets and KPIs.
✅ Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering continuous growth.
✅ Customer & Partner Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technology vendors, partners, and customers.
✅ Operational Excellence: Implement best practices in sales operations, pipeline management, and forecasting.
✅ Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, technical pre-sales, vendor management) to align go-to-market strategies.
✅ Market & Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends to identify new opportunities for innovation.
✅ Executive Reporting: Provide insights to senior leadership on sales performance and opportunities.
Key Skills & Experience:
✔ Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the enterprise IT sector.
✔ Strong knowledge of server, storage, and infrastructure solutions.
✔ Track record of leading and managing large sales teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
✔ Excellent strategic planning and ability to translate business goals into actionable sales plans.
✔ Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with vendors and enterprise customers.
✔ Data-driven decision-making mindset, with expertise in CRM tools, forecasting, and pipeline management.
