The successful candidates will work as an integral part of a dynamic and hardworking Breast Radiology Team, providing comprehensive support services to the department. The role will require working closely with Radiologists and other clinical and administrative staff.
Main duties include:
1. Preparing and chaperoning patients for procedures and examinations during one stop breast clinics.
2. Inputting data and processing documents.
3. Helping with and preparing for procedures such as biopsies.
4. Undertaking a range of non-clinical and clinical duties to support the breast team, ensuring patient-centered care is always at the forefront.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical and administrative support to Radiologists and Mammographers within the Elm Breast Unit.
2. Chaperone breast examinations, confirm patient identification and examination details, prepare clinical rooms, equipment and patients for biopsy lists and one breast stop clinics.
3. Deliver patient care and assistance during interventional procedures and examinations as required.
4. Organize, tidy up and assist with maintaining stock levels, equipment, and clinical examination rooms.
5. Undertake administrative tasks including entering, confirming and finalizing studies on RIS, clinical coding, working on reception, arriving and booking patients in for procedures, taking phone calls, answering queries and escalating concerns.
6. Actively learn; represent the care and needs of patients at all levels of the organization; promote the continuous improvement of service delivery and quality including productivity, service, and workforce transformation.
7. Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, liaising with those involved in the Breast Service to assist in ensuring the appropriate imaging, reporting and management of the patient is provided when and where necessary under guidance of Breast Radiologist or Mammographer.
