What the Job Involves The role of a Residential Childcare Worker involves providing attentive and tailored care to Looked After Children & Young People, ensuring their safety, happiness, and developmental growth through applied therapeutic knowledge. The job entails establishing trusted relationships with children, delivering child-centered care, and maintaining a positive and supportive living environment. As part of your duties, you are expected to work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals to implement individualized care plans, manage challenging behaviors through understanding and applying appropriate strategies, and partaking in live/waking night duties, as required. Furthermore, you will participate in professional meetings, performance reviews, and training programs while also handling financial matters in compliance with authority regulations.
