The EMEA Legal team focuses on providing clear, accurate, relevant, and timely advice and guidance on a variety of legal topics relating to business sector, products, and services. The team is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements. They manage and mitigate legal risks by designing and implementing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to Insight’s business.
The Bid Manager coordinates the bid response process, develops and maintains a knowledge base of standard answers and templates, and identifies ways to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of the bid response process. They are responsible for developing relationships with external parties in order to advance new opportunities, win submissions, and secure work by value and type to meet company objectives. They also work closely with the Senior Bid Manager to develop client solutions and prepare responses. In addition, the Bid Manager oversees all quality, technical, and commercial aspects in accordance with company procedures, and develops best practice systems and processes and implements them across other regions whilst maintaining and building relations.
Key responsibilities:
* Maximise available resources in order to achieve a high quality and persuasive tender response within agreed timeframes by controlling the qualification of tenders through a bid qualification blueprint.
* Maintain a register of qualified bids including bid directives, wins and losses reports, and ensure that all appropriate documentation is held and controlled.
* Manage the physical production process for bid responses and communicate with the client to ensure documentation (hard and soft) produced is to the client’s expectation and satisfaction.
* Collaborate closely with account teams, consulting teams, and solution sales teammates to ensure accurate, appropriate, and engaging information is included in each proposal.
* Suggest and develop improvements and efficiencies within the tender responses process and continuously deliver high calibre tender responses.

Key skills and experience required:
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* High level of written and spoken English
* Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
* Previous experience of writing bids as part of a tender process
* Previous experience coordinating bid teams to deliver proposals, bids, or manage contracts
* Excellent communication and project management skills to manage clients and partners and gather deliverables from a range of internal and external stakeholders within pressurised schedules
* Previous experience working with partners and colleagues from different organisations, countries, and cultures in order to deliver complex work tasks as part of a consortium
* Very strong writing skills, able to construct high quality, complex narratives and convey complex ideas simply and clearly
* Ability to interpret and analyse complex information from a range of sources and present in a succinct and compelling way
* Business acumen to determine if tenders have any level of commercial risk associated with them
* Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate, influence and generate confidence, trust, and respect
* Ability to think and work pro-actively and creatively under pressure
