This is an exciting opportunity for a teaching professional join our ‘Outstanding’ Adult Learning team. As a Programme Manager within the school, you will be teaching studentsso they gain qualifications for employment, future study, or simply to develop skills for everyday life. Ideally, you will be an experienced teacher of either English, Maths or Digital Skills, with a proven track record. You will be creative in planning your teaching, using a variety of innovative and captivating resources whilst being able to deliver in an enthusiastic and inspirational manner. Programmes range from the unaccredited, to courses at entry level up to and including GCSE. Our Adult courses are part-time and are offered in the evenings as well as daytimes. They serve learners from 19 years of age, with no upper age limit. With your own expert industry knowledge and experience, you will inspire and motivate students to achieve success and pursue their chosen futures. The successful candidate will understand the unique challenges that adults can face when learning, while maintaining standards and employing effective strategies to support them to achieve. They will monitor progress and support learners studying in a range of delivery modes. Candidates must be confident supporting and guiding teammates, in a position of responsibility and leading by example and should have relevant professional qualifications in the subjects they will teach, as well as teaching qualifications. You will be working with the Head of School to drive student achievement and outcomes across the school whilst supporting the wider team to reach their own key performance indicators. The ideal candidate will be student-focused and have a good eye for detail around student data.
