You will be supported by and work closely with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated and expert pain specialists including physiotherapists, psychologists, pharmacists, occupational therapists, pain consultants, osteopaths, therapy assistants, and nurses. The pain team integrates with our Rheumatology, MSK, and ME/CFS services and you will benefit from shared learning opportunities.
You will be involved in delivering a full range of specialist Pain Management Physiotherapy approaches. The successful applicant will assess and manage a mixed caseload of patients with pain management both on a 1:1 basis and in groups. There will be opportunities for close interdisciplinary working, research, and service development.
You will have current experience of working with individuals living with pain. We would also consider applications from Band 5 clinicians with sound MSK assessment and reasoning skills who would want to develop in the area of pain management, as part of a development role.

Main duties of the job
1. To be responsible for a specialist physiotherapy caseload of adult and older people with diverse therapy needs.
2. To undertake comprehensive assessment of adult and older people with diverse presentations, using self-determined investigative and analytical skills, to formulate hypotheses in order to determine a diagnosis.
3. To establish individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning and utilising a range of evidence-based treatment and skills and options to formulate interventions and programmes of care.
4. To participate in the co-ordination, development and delivery of training programmes and information packages for colleagues in health, voluntary sector organizations, and patients/carers.
