Legal Director / Partner Location: Bristol Job Type: Full-time We are seeking a highly skilled Clean Energy Lawyer to join our dynamic team as a Legal Director / Partner. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading experts in the field, A requirement of 7 years PQE, the ideal candidate will have substantial experience in commercial, projects, construction and/or regulatory aspects of the clean energy sector. Day-to-day of the role: Draft and negotiate power purchase agreements, battery optimisation, and tolling contracts. Handle clean energy project developments, acquisitions, and disposals. Advise on low carbon support regimes and energy supply contracts. Manage biogas offtake arrangements and Ofgem licensing. Oversee electricity regulation, grid connection arrangements, and private wires. Collaborate with team members across multiple locations including Bristol, Birmingham, Leicester, and Glasgow. Work closely with other practice areas such as real estate, construction, corporate, finance, environment, planning, and dispute resolution to provide comprehensive legal services. Required Skills & Qualifications: 7 years PQE with a strong background in construction, commercial, projects, and/or regulatory aspects of clean energy. Experience with transactional matters within the clean energy sector is highly desirable. Familiarity with technologies such as solar PV, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure, and/or district heating is advantageous. Excellent legal, analytical, and negotiation skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
