Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development and learning through engaging activities. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing daily operations and supporting the growth of both children and staff.
Responsibilities
1. Create and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
2. Supervise and support children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
3. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.
4. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
5. Collaborate with team members to manage daily nursery operations efficiently.
6. Encourage positive behaviour through effective management strategies.
7. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in early childhood education.
Qualifications
1. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
2. A strong understanding of early childhood education principles is required.
3. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
4. Leadership abilities to manage a small team effectively.
5. A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is desirable but not essential.
6. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials or attending training sessions.
