The successful candidate will have extensive experience atlifestyle, fashion or entertainment magazines or websites, with great brand knowledge, digital experience and strong contacts in entertainment as well as being hardworking and efficient. Responsibilities: - Bring in weekly cover exclusives and maintain excellent contacts in entertainment. - Identify and pitch regular entertainment and cultural features; know what is coming before anyone else - Commission and edit print and digital content that increases engagement and supports subscriber growth and retention - Use the latest digital data to inform commissioning - Write entertainment pieces in a distinctive and engaging way that appeals to Style readers - Able to write across all sections and platforms seamlessly with particular attention to digital - Regularly pitch and contribute to digital packages that increase engagement and support subscriber growth Skills and experience - Has experience as a senior entertainment journalist on a national magazine, newspaper or website with a demonstrableinterest in entertainment, fashion and beauty - Excellent PR contacts across the entertainment industry - Able to use social media platforms to engage current and new audiences for Style - Experience in digital and a commitment to growing our digital audience - Able to work autonomously and to strict deadlines - Persuasive presentation skills, well-developed inter-personal skills, with the ability to problem-solve and negotiate positive outcomes - Able to communicate succinctly and effectively - Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams - A strong understanding of editorial compliance and regulatory issues We offer a flexible working arrangement where employees are expected to be in the office a minimum of three days per week.
