Warner Scott are currently partnered with a boutique M&A Consultancy who are eager to hire a Corporate Finance Director or Partner. The MD of the firm needs someone who is entrepreneurial in nature, and has a proven track record of winning business in the M&A market. For the successful candidate, the firm can offer exposure to large corporate clients and complex deals, as well as a highly lucrative fee sharing scheme.
Responsibilities
* Originate and Develop New Business Opportunities - Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and leveraging your existing client and intermediary relationships. Drive deal flow across a range of sectors, with a focus on UK mid-market M&A.
* Lead End-to-End Transaction Execution - Take ownership of transactions from initial engagement to successful completion, including financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, negotiation, and coordination of due diligence. Ensure high-quality deliverables and a smooth process for all parties involved.
* Deliver Strategic Corporate Finance Advice - Act as a trusted advisor to business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors, providing tailored strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, capital raising, and broader growth strategies.
* Build and Deepen Client Relationships - Cultivate long-term partnerships by providing consistent, high-value advisory and maintaining regular contact before, during, and after transactions. Represent the firm with professionalism, discretion, and commercial acumen.
* Develop and Mentor Junior Talent - Support the professional development of analysts and associates through active coaching, review of work, and sharing of commercial insight. Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing culture.
* Contribute to the Growth and Strategy of the Firm - Play an active role in shaping the firm's future by identifying strategic opportunities, refining service offerings, and supporting internal initiatives such as branding, recruitment, or market positioning.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or a related field, with a strong focus on M&A and capital markets.
* Demonstrated success in originating and executing complex transactions.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
* Strong leadership capabilities, with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
* Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA are highly desirable.
