Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
A challenging onsite full-time contract role at the Port of Nigg, Scotland, reporting to the Electrical Package Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* To coordinate E&I design works and implementation with cross-functional teams.
* Ensure quality and compliance checks for electrical and instrumentation installations, adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Resolve on-site technical challenges and provide on-the-spot support to troubleshoot electrical or instrumentation issues, minimizing delays.
* Maintain thorough documentation of calibration records, technical reports, system modifications, and compliance certifications, communicating progress and issues to the Project Manager.
* Conduct regular safety checks, risk assessments, and enforce safety protocols for all E&I activities, educating on-site teams on electrical and instrumentation safety practices.
Requirements:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial or construction environments, preferably with hands-on site experience.
* Certifications: Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, or any specialized instrumentation and calibration certifications are advantageous.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in E&I design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming tools), knowledge of calibration, electrical codes, process automation, and instrumentation controls.
* Soft Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and the flexibility to work on-site.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
