Senior Planner - Data Centre Construction

As a Senior Planner on the General Contractor side in the Data Centre Construction industry, you will lead the planning and coordination of data centre construction projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering state-of-the-art data centre facilities that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and functionality.
This is a permanent position, and successful candidates can expect to be involved in a series of exciting data centre construction projects in the future.
Key Responsibilities -
* Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgets for data centre construction projects.
* Collaborative Coordination: Liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
* Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks in the construction process and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and success of the project.
* Resource Allocation: Allocate labour, equipment, and materials effectively to meet project timelines while optimizing costs.
* Schedule Adherence: Oversee the project timeline, identify potential delays, and take proactive measures to keep the project on schedule.
* Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients on project status, milestones, and potential issues.
* Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their needs are met throughout the construction process.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, ensuring their development and the successful execution of projects.
Qualifications -
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
* 5 years of experience in data centre construction planning and management, with a demonstrated track record of successfully completed projects.
* Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, including site preparation, structural construction, MEP systems, and commissioning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project stakeholders and clients.
* Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in data centre construction.
* Proficiency in risk assessment and problem-solving.
