About you
You will be responsible for the success of the department and lead a passionate team of teachers to provide outstanding results for our students across the senior school. Additionally, you will be supporting team leaders with the teaching and planning of technology in our Junior Ako classes. As part of the Middle Leadership Team of the school, you will build strong relationships within our kura and our wider community.
This role requires an experienced educational leader, who is passionate about teaching and learning, leading and developing people, and has a track record in curriculum development and innovative student initiatives.
Additionally you will be:
* Trained and qualified teacher, with current NZ Teacher Registration
* Able to lead an effective team
* Able to manage the administration requirements of the department
* Knowledgeable and understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to motivate teachers to motivate and enthuse young people to learn
* Able and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school outside the classroom.
