We are looking for a Residence Experience Receptions Supervisor with excellent customer service skills to join our Residence Experience team. This role would be suited to someone with a friendly personality and eagerness to create memorable experiences for our students and commercial guests.
With over 5,000 bedrooms on campus and in the city, we operate multiple reception hubs for students, staff, visitors, and commercial guests. Being part of this team, you will primarily be based on Campus. However, this role requires flexibility and availability to work across a variety of locations and shifts, especially during the Commercial period (June until September). You will work on a 5 days over 7 rota, covering any of the 7 days per week between 8am – 10pm, which may include weekend working.
This role supervises a small team of permanent and casual staff. You will be involved in their recruitment and responsible for their training. You'll work closely with your managers to ensure all of our receptions are effectively resourced and provide consistent service. You will need to confidently communicate with customers in-person, on the telephone, and via email, while forming strong working relationships with other University departments and stakeholders, such as Security.
You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities. Previous experience in a customer-focused role is essential, and you must be able to demonstrate instances of providing excellent customer service.
This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover position starting March 2025 and ending December 2025 or upon the post holder's early return. The role is 36.5 hours per week.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Stephen Schilizzi at sls87@bath.ac.uk. However, please ensure that you submit your application through the university website.
What we can offer you:
* A very generous employer contributory pension scheme
* Generous annual leave allowance with an additional 5 discretionary days to enjoy a positive work-life balance
