Small Works Manager The Small Works Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the successful delivery of smaller-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage a team of skilled professionals, collaborate with various stakeholders, and continuously strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the Small Works department. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned small works projects, from initial planning and scoping to budgeting, scheduling, execution, and completion. Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, materials, and equipment. Proactively identify potential risks and mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress, address deviations, and report performance metrics to stakeholders. Ensure all projects comply with relevant safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of small works professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Delegate tasks effectively, provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities, and empower team members to take ownership. Manage individual performance and conduct regular performance reviews. Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, actively listening to their needs and concerns. Clearly communicate project plans, timelines, and expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively address any client issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure client satisfaction with the final project deliverables. Collaboration and Communication: Effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including design teams, contractors, procurement specialists, and facility managers. Maintain clear and concise communication across all levels, ensuring everyone involved is informed and aligned. Proactively identify and address potential communication gaps. Continuous Improvement: Analyse project performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Implement innovative solutions and process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in small works management. Additional Responsibilities: May contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide policies and procedures for small works. May oversee budget development and control for the Small Works department. May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices. Proficiency in project management software and relevant reporting tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
