Delivering quality Civil Engineering & Building projects within Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas, undertaking a range of interesting and diverse projects.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Daniel Charles Construction, you will play a vital part in the overall success by assisting in the financial and contractual wellbeing of the company.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assisting with the day-to-day running of projects, including cost monitoring and preparation of accurate valuations and final accounts.
2. Producing transparent monthly reports.
3. Understanding the scope of the project and progress on site.
4. Assisting with the pricing of minor variations on projects.
5. Co-ordination of sub-contractors, including sending out enquiries, placing orders, and ensuring subcontractors' applications are monitored in accordance with terms.
6. Working closely with and building relationships with employees, clients, and commercial and contract delivery teams.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
2. Methodical style of working.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
5. Team working ethic is a must.
6. Experience of Conquest Software & Construction Manager would be desirable; however, training will be given where required.
7. HNC or equivalent would be desirable.
8. Previous experience working in Roads and Sewers/Groundworks.
9. Be proactive/show interest.
