Rushbottom Lane Surgery is looking for a permanent finance assistant on a part-time basis, between 22.5 and 30 hours per week. Days and hours can be flexible and discussed at interview. The position is to work closely with the finance manager to ensure the timely and efficient management of the organisations finance and accounting processes. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following duties; Act as the first point of contact for finance queries internally and externally. Enter transactions accurately ready for approval. Make entries into Xero accounting software for both receivables and payables. Responsible for company record keeping on the companies drives, paper files and accounting software. Send remittance upon supplier requests. Review supplier statements to ensure the requested payments have been paid and we have receipt of all outstanding invoices, if not paid discussing outcomes with the finance manager. Review remittance to ensure it can be matched with outstanding receivables. Record receivable/payable invoices. Responsible for company record keeping on the companies drives, paper files and accounting software. Chasing outstanding purchase orders and receivable payments. Manage the accounts inbox. Set up bank payments ready for approval. Responsible for the processing of practice and PCN claims. Build a firm understanding of basic accounting terminology and processes as well as a strong attention to detail. About the Candidate Essential: Experience working in a finance function. Experience in accounting software. Desirable: Experience in Xero.
