Wolverhampton Travis Perkins is currently going through an exciting expansion phase and we are looking for additional colleagues to come and join us on this journey. We are now looking to recruit a Yard Assistant to join our busy team, this will be a 30 hour per week contract with the opportunity for more hours each week (to be discussed at interview). The Branch You will be working alongside some great individuals at our branch on Neachells Lane Willenhall. We have a team of 50 colleagues, we run 6 vehicles, we have a full tool hire time team too and a Benchmarx kitchen team - ours is a busy branch and is expanding so will get busier Your working hours will be a minimum of 30 per week, flexibility will be considered, to be discussed at interview. You don’t need an in-depth knowledge of builders merchants to join the team, as there will be plenty of coaching and training to get you up to speed, we’ll give you the confidence to deliver the exceptional service we expect. You will be based outside, processing customer orders and loading/unloading customer and company vehicles. In addition you will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse, always ensuring we have sufficient turn around times for our vehicles and suppliers. Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, by adhering to all stay safe policies and procedures, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment. The Person This is a key customer facing role, you just need the ability to provide great customer service, we can teach you the rest. Someone that is physically active, as this role is located outside, it will involve lifting heavy building materials Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
