The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts and Procurement Business Partner to join our team in Birkenhead, SA. Reporting to the General Manager Finance Operations, you will be the central point of contact for a designated area of the business and responsible for the delivery of contract and procurement services.
The Business Partner Contracts and Procurement objective will be to deliver the best possible procurement outcomes and ensure effective management of Procurement activities and relationships with suppliers and the business.
You will also be responsible for the appropriate supplier selection for procurement managed categories including nominated National supplier agreements for the Group, involved in all procurement and contract activities including all aspects of the contract management process including the implementation of category management plans and assisting in meeting financial targets. The Business Partner will also ensure the quality of goods and services provided and contribute to improvement and knowledge management of the procurement process, and be responsible for monitoring and managing Supply Chain risk in those spend categories for which they are responsible, by ensuring compliance with Adbri Procurement standards, procedures, and work instructions in line with Adbri standards and in a manner that reflects best practice.
Responsibilities:

* Developing a strategy/approach for contracting and procurement
* Tendering Activities (RFQ, RFT, RFP)
* Contract and Procurement package award
* Contract and PO Management
* Major and minor capital / operational packages
* Reporting and developing category strategies
What You Will Need to Succeed:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, supply chain management, or a related discipline preferred but not compulsory
* Relevant working experience in a similar role
* Contracts experience (essential minimum 5 years)
* Procurement equipment packages (desirable minimum 2 years)
* Operations experience
* Experience developing tenders, evaluation criteria, evaluating proposals, drafting contracts, and reviewing and proposing responses to bidder exceptions to terms and conditions
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience managing supplier relationships
