Job summary To act as a team leader to maintain a high standard of quality care and co-ordinate the operational activities during a span of duty. To make the best use of resources within the critical care directorate and develop good practice maintaining high standards of patient care. Main duties of the job The post holder with support from the Ward Manager, Clinical Matron and Lead Nurse to deliver 24-hour care to the critically ill patient population. They will ensure that they lead and manage the ward so that safe, high quality, evidence-based nursing care is delivered to patients whilst respecting and involving families and carers as partners in care.
