An exciting opportunity has arisen to be fully funded and supported to train as a systemic family therapist with Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Derby and Derbyshire are situated in the East Midlands as well as centrally situated nationally with good transport links to Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester, Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Nottingham and London. It also is situated near the picturesque Peak District and Matlock.
Main duties of the job
The post will include working with families in an established Family Therapy Service within a CAMHS clinic with dedicated supervision. The successful candidate will take up a training post on Band 6, which will then lead to a full-time Band 7 Family Therapist position once they have successfully completed the MSc and registered with the UKCP/AFT as a Family Therapist. Candidates will need to have completed two years recognised systemic training or one-year CYIAPT to be eligible for the training post.

Person Specification
Education
* To have undertaken a recognised qualification in a statutory regulated core qualification such as nursing, social work or occupational therapy
* Two years systemic training to intermediate level with a recognised provider or one-year systemic family practice IAPT training course in order to meet further masters level training course requirements
* Registered with NMC, HCPC, SWE statutory registration body or DIP HE nursing, social work or occupational therapy
Experience & Skills
* To be able to demonstrate CORE systemic skills working with a range of difficulties and families
* Ability to balance studying and carrying a family therapy caseload in a busy health care setting
* Experience of autonomously carrying a family practitioner caseload
* Up to date knowledge of developments in systemic and family therapy in order to provide evidence-based practice
