If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our Waste Complex delivery team We are looking for a Project Manager to deliver our Waste Infra Blocks programme in the Waste Complex Technical and Contract Services (TCS) team. Do you have a strong project management or technical background and looking for new and exciting projects to manage? If so, then read on EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Waste Complex Technical and Contract Services (TCS) team as an infra waste specialist. Being a regional based team, it’s essential you’re able to travel independently but you’ll be based from either Raynesway, Derby or Shelton, Shrewsbury. As a Project Manager, you`ll be responsible for delivering the Waste Complex Infra (and dependant on waste treatment experience) programme of block work including site visits with contractors for scoping, reviewing prices and generating works orders into contract. Once in contract activities will include coordinating, monitoring and auditing these works on site to ensure compliance with our H&S standards and best practices. You’ll be delivering our AMP7 outputs on the infra network (and potentially waste treatment), whether that be like-for-like replacement assets on our sewage pumping stations, CSO’s, or the installation of new nuisance assets, to name a few. All of this needs to meet the expectations of our regulators and customers, and be to time, on cost and of great quality. You’ll help drive the programme from design through to completion, engaging with key stakeholders (both internally and externally) along the way. And with a large programme of work approaching in AMP8, you’ll be key to ensuring we continue to deliver to the highest standard as we transition between AMP’s. With a diverse programme in the Waste Complex TCS team, you’ll see a wide range of site activities from sewer and pumping main repairs, pipe bridge surveys and repair works through to construction of new storm tanks and sludge tanks, for example. The programme of works in the Waste Complex TCS team is prioritised through our Tactical Asset Planning (TAP) team, so stakeholder management is key throughout the project life cycle. You`ll be competent in managing the six aspects of a project, i.e. scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality and resources. You`ll drive the project plans, safeguard milestone delivery and also ensure reporting of progress through to the Project Manager and Lead Project Manager. What You’ll Bring To The Role Ideally qualified in a technical engineering discipline and qualified as or working towards chartered engineer status, you will be a forward thinking and innovative project manager capable of managing multiple capital engineering and construction works. You will have experience of managing NEC projects, with a proven track record of cost planning; management of and budgetary responsibility.
