We have a vacancy for an Assistant Care Manager at Westview Children's Home, a Nottinghamshire County Council Children's Home. The role will be supported by the Registered Care Manager who works in the home.
You will receive a complete induction and be mentored by the Home Manager to fulfil this role.
The Manager and Assistant Care Manager will lead a team supporting children who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences to help them achieve their full potential within a nurturing, caring environment.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in the completion of each child’s care plans, in line with Ofsted regulations and the Quality Standards.
2. Involved with the recruitment of staff, training & developing the team, and daily operational matters.
3. Conduct reflective supervisions and take a lead role in being a positive role model across the service.
Children’s homes operate 24 hours a day; you will therefore be required to work some shifts and be a part of the on-call rota for NCC Residential Homes. Enhancements are paid for weekends, bank holidays, and on-call requirements.
Minimum Requirements
You are required to have:
1. 12 months experience in a residential Childcare setting.
2. Completed the diploma level 3 in Residential Childcare.
3. Undertake the level 5 within 6 months of being recruited.
