Job Title: Landscape Co-ordinator Location: UCLH - London Role Purpose: Carry out a range of skilled horticultural and general duties in gardens, green areas and other open spaces across the UCLH estate. Maintain work records on mobile Apps. Key Responsibilities To undertake, either individually, or as a member of a team, a range or horticulturally based maintenance activities including the cutting and strimming of grass, hedge cutting, pruning, planting and weed spraying. To carry out a range of maintenance activities including installation of fences, painting, marking out of sports pitches and erection and dismantling of goal posts etc. Removal of litter, detritus, weeds (by hand or by spraying), general arisings, vegetable material, dumped items and materials from both hard and soft landscaped areas as directed. To use a range of specialist hand tools and mechanical equipment including strimmers, hedge cutters and other equipment as directed, including undertaking regular maintenance and safety checks, cleaning and sharpening as required. To be responsible for assessing the range and extent of specialist work undertaken and the kind of specialist machinery or equipment to be used. Person Specification/Requirements ? Experience of working within an NHS or Healthcare environment would be advantageous ? Demonstrable experience within a similar role e.g. building maintenance ? Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority ? Knowledge of Health and Safety ? Diligent and pro-active ? Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative. ? Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail. ? A flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel would be essential.
