Stock Controller
£26,000 - £29,000 DOE, Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm, 23 days holiday + BH, company pension, free parking, private medical insurance.
The Role
Our client, an established and growing business in the renewable energy sector, is going through a rapid expansion and hiring a Stock Controller to join their team. This new, primarily office-based role reports into the operations manager and will be responsible for managing stock levels throughout the business, providing administrative support for the warehouse and attending the warehouse weekly to ensure effective stock control.
Some duties include:
1. Auditing stock movement and changes
2. Maintaining accurate stock records
3. Providing relevant picking lists for warehouse staff
4. Reconciling and reporting on stock errors and discrepancies
5. Contributing towards the improvement of processes, methods of operating and practices within the business
6. Arranging deliveries with logistics providers and processing stock into the system
7. Regularly attending the warehouse to undertake stock takes
Requirements
The successful Stock Controller will have experience in a Stock Control position in a busy warehouse environment. The role is heavily administration based so strong computer skills and good attention to detail are important. Due to the warehouse being located 2 miles away from the office, it's essential that you have a full driving license and own transport to be able to attend the warehouse weekly and as needed.
This role could suit someone who has been a Stock Controller, Warehouse Administrator, or Supply Chain Assistant.
