The Bank of England and Inspire People are partnering together to attract a high-calibre Lead Solution Data Architect with a solid track record of creating and managing high-level design on complex large-scale projects centred on data architecture and data collection, data sharing, ingestion and data warehousing, incl. APIs and experienced in Azure. You will be responsible for translating business strategic goals centred on Data Collection supporting enterprise-wide technology strategies. Up to circa £90,360 basic plus excellent benefits including an 8% cash benefits allowance and 10%-25% bonus. Hybrid working opportunities are available with 2 days a week working from the Bank's London site. 18 Months Fixed Term Contract.

As a Lead Solution Data Architect within the Bank, typical role responsibilities include:
* Taking a leading role on Data Collection programmes and projects, understanding business imperatives and developing solutions that deliver against the requirements aligned to business and technology strategies.
* Responsible for understanding the technology estate and strategic direction to develop architecture and roadmaps with a focus on re-use, rationalisation, simplification and decommissioning.
* Responsible for designing and producing architectural artefacts for end-to-end solutions, baseline and target architectures, solution blueprints, including high-level design, technical options that are aligned to architecture standards, principles and patterns taking into consideration the impact to the enterprise, technology and business.
Essential Skills and Experience as a Solutions Architect:
* Experience as an architect on large scale, complex data architecture and data collection projects, designing platforms, products, systems and components.
* Experience in architecture planning for large data collection initiatives/programmes.
* Experience of working with and across multiple methodologies and technologies to ensure delivery of critical projects and programmes.
As well as the above core skills, we are looking to engage with candidates to work on one of five different Bank initiatives, depending on your following additional skills:
* Experience in enterprise data architecture, developing data architecture artefacts to support enterprise requirements for large projects/initiatives.
* Demonstrated domain expertise and design experience of operational and real time data services, data distribution, and data management solutions delivering on high levels of performance, security, scalability, and reliability requirements.
