Role Description:
West Nottinghamshire College is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of GCSE Biology. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking team within the Directorate of Health, Education & Service Industries. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and high-quality learning experiences in GCSE Biology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching & Assessment: Design and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners, ensuring all students receive a comprehensive education in Biology and related fields.
* Practical Instruction: Liaise with learners and industry partners to plan and execute practical learning days, ensuring safety and educational value.
* Student Support: Monitor and assess learner progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
* Continuous Improvement: Engage in professional development to stay current with industry standards and educational best practices.
* Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and safeguarding requirements, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Enrichment Activities: Participate in the college's enrichment programs and support the planning of educational trips and visits.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Biology, or a related field.
* Teaching qualification (DTLLs, PGCE, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
* Experience in delivering high-quality learning experiences and managing a diverse range of learners.
