Buyer\n\n * Newcastle (North Tyneside)\n\n * Full-time, onsite\n\n * Permanent staff position\n\n * Salary up to £40,000 per annum\n\nAn experienced Buyer is wanted to join a growing company in North Tyneside.\n\nWorking in a ’hands-on’ role as part of a small team, you’ll be taking a key role in developing and implementing purchasing strategy for the business.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\n\n * Proven experience in a similar role – preferably within manufacturing/distribution\n\n * Strong negotiation skills\n\n * An analytical mindset\n\n * A good knowledge of sustainable sourcing policies\n\n * A hands-on, problem-solving approach\n\n * CIPS qualification is preferred\n\n * The job will include management of international suppliers, so some travel may be involved occasionally\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * Developing procurement strategies that follow the business’\n\n * Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing & service levels\n\n * Negotiating supplier contracts\n\n * Implementing cost-saving opportunities\n\n * Collaborating with Operations and Planning to ensure optimal levels of material and stock\n\n * Adhering to the company’s ethical sourcing & environmental policies\n\nFor further details, please apply or contact Clare Dorling at Pin Point Recruitment
