Services include industrial Mass Reflashing solutions, producing robust electrical Harnesses and complex Test Rigs. What you’ll do: You will be a Multiskilled Engineer to support the existing design team. Desired experience: Experience in software development (C#, C++, .NET), electrical design, and mechanical CAD design of test rigs. Strong coding and software design skills for embedded systems, control systems, and user interfaces. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Arcadia). Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and methodology for the design of test rigs. Proficient in the design and construction of test rigs and prototypes, considering both electrical and mechanical requirements, DFA, DFM. Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations. Experience with EMC testing and knowledge of CE/CA product approval testing. Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE, IEC) related to electromagnetic compatibility and product safety. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Additional Responsibilities: Mechanical CAD Design of Test Rigs: Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to design mechanical components, fixtures, and assemblies for test rigs. Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components within the overall test rig design. Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, including specifying materials and tolerances. Simulation and Analysis: Utilize electrical simulation software (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) to model, simulate, and analyse electrical circuits and systems. HV system simulation and design calculations. Perform simulations to evaluate system performance, identify potential issues, and optimize designs. Interpret simulation results and provide recommendations for design improvements. Test Rig Development: Design and develop custom test rigs and prototypes, considering both electrical and mechanical requirements. Specify and source necessary hardware, instrumentation, and mechanical components for test rig construction. Collaborate with the testing and quality assurance teams to ensure test rig functionality and accuracy. Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Testing: Plan, and oversee EMC testing procedures for the test rigs to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., FCC, EN, IEC). Evaluate and mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues, providing design recommendations for EMC compliance. CE/CA Product Approval support and testing: Manage the CE/CA product approval testing process, ensuring that products meet regulatory requirements for European markets. Coordinate and collaborate with external testing laboratories to conduct necessary product assessments. Prepare and maintain documentation required for CE/CA certification. Software Development (C#, C++, .NET): Design and develop software solutions for embedded systems, control systems, and user interfaces using C#, C++, and .NET. Integrate of software components into overall product design. Electrical Testing of Test Rigs: Plan, conduct, and oversee electrical testing procedures for the test rigs, ensuring they meet project objectives. Develop and implement test protocols and procedures for evaluating the electrical performance of the rigs. Analyse test data, identify issues, and work with the engineering team to resolve electrical-related problems. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse data collected from test rig experiments and simulations, focusing on electrical, EMC, and software aspects. Prepare detailed reports summarizing test results, including observations, conclusions, and recommendations for design enhancements. Collaboration with R&D Teams: Collaborate closely with research and development teams to incorporate insights gained from simulations, electrical testing, EMC testing, and software development into product design improvements. Participate in cross-functional design reviews and brainstorming sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field. Software Development experience preferably HNC or above
