About the role and how to apply:
As an organisation, Citizens Advice Bury & Bolton is accredited to the highest level within the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) and Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) – this means we are able to provide immigration advice to all levels, including to appeal and judicial review.
The successful postholder will be accredited to at least OISC Level 2/ IAAS Senior Caseworker at the time of application (evidence required) and will hold, or demonstrate a willingness to achieve, IAAS Supervising Senior Caseworker level.
The organisation offers both Legal Aid funded services to clients and a private, not-for-profit, fee-paying service. The post holder will be required to work across both these areas and engage with clients over the phone, email, and face to face.
Working across CABB, the post will hold a reduced caseload and conduct supervisions for up to 4 individuals within our immigration team. In addition, you will be the first port of call for queries within the team, monitor caseloads, conduct file reviews, allocate cases to the team in line with their qualifications and experience, and support the Immigration Services Manager in training the team.
