Principal People are currently recruiting for a Regional H&S Advisor in partnership with a leading transport organisation on a 6-month FTC.
This role is covering various depot locations across the South UK and South West and so flexibility and willingness to travel is important.
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the successful candidate will support the Health and Safety function to maintain a compliant and positive health and safety culture in the organisation as well as to undertake H&S visits across its depots and offer general advice regarding all Health and Safety matters to management teams and site locations.
This role is to pay the successful candidate £40-44k + Car/Allowance + Package.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clear advice and support to designated Southern based depots and members of the organisation regarding all health and safety processes and procedures.
Undertake site audits as well as accident investigations when required.
Carrying out risk assessments and method statements
Delivering Health and Safety operational support to the organisation. The Regional H&S Advisor will hold:
NEBOSH General Certificate or Equivalent
Have experience working within a transport, engineering, logistics, vehicle movement environments
Be flexible to travel with occasional overnight stays
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
