We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Device Test Engineer to join our client's team.\n\nAbout the Role:\n As a Medical Device Test Engineer, you will be at the heart of the device development process, designing, executing, and analysing tests that assess the performance of our medical devices.
Your work will focus on evaluating how the device performs in clinical settings, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and delivers reliable results in real-world healthcare environments.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nDeveloping and executing test cases to assess device performance.\nWriting comprehensive test protocols and reports.\nSetting up test rigs and conducting both manual and Python-based tests.\nDesigning tests from a clinical engineering perspective to ensure they represent the device's clinical performance.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the device meets regulatory and clinical standards.\nIdentifying potential issues, errors, and challenges that may arise in clinical use and testing for them accordingly.This is a hands-on role, where you'll be actively involved in test execution, not software or mechanical design. You'll be focused on ensuring the device functions as expected within the clinical environment, looking at the device from a clinical and regulatory perspective.\n\nWhat The Client is Looking For:\n\nA strong background in biomedical, electronics, or computer science engineering, or similar degree\nAn interest in the clinical aspects of medical device development.\nThe ability to design, execute, and analyse tests that align with clinical performance criteria.\nExperience or a keen interest in regulatory and clinical testing environments.\nA practical, problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically about device performance in real-world scenarios.Skills & Qualifications:\n\nDegree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Computer Science or similar degree\nFamiliarity or interest in test rig setups, test case design, and data analysis.\nAbility or interest to work with both manual testing and automated testing (e.g., using Python).\nA passion for medical devices and a keen interest in their real-world application in healthcare settings.Salary: Up to £45,000\n\nIf you're looking to make a tangible impact in the development of medical devices and thrive in a practical, hands-on testing environment, KO2 want to hear from you!\n\nApply now and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of medical technology
