Description Purpose of the role To support the ongoing development of business underwritten on Delegated Authority (D.A.) schemes with approved partners across the UK I region, ensuring that we maintain effective control around all aspect of the delegation, including due diligence of MGAs, review and monitoring of performance for every scheme, as well as mitigation of any regulatory risk. To engage in the delivery and execution of all P&C broker facilities for the region, overseeing service delivery under enhanced remuneration arrangements. To act as a key member of the mid-market management team, helping to drive optimal performance across the region. Key responsibilities Broker Engagement Act as a central coordination point for all D.A. schemes, setting agendas for internal and external reviews and following up on all action points. Participate in regular review meetings with broker partners to ensure that financial and operational performance is on track against key KPIs. Support and Co-ordinate DA Audit schedules in line with COG standards. Underwriting Performance Work with Underwriting Operations Managers (UOMs) and Product Line Heads to ensure that all changes to underwriting guidelines are reviewed by individual Scheme Owners and communicated to Broker Partners. Track trends within underwriting referrals and liaise with the Scheme Owner to ensure that ongoing technical training is provided to Broker Partners and that authority is set at an appropriate level for the volume of business transacted. Engage with UK I Actuarial team to complete periodic reviews of underlying performance and ensure that findings are shared with key internal and stakeholders at an early stage. Review policy documentation for all D.A. schemes on an annual basis to identify any required changes to bespoke wordings, bases on changes to COG guidance. Legal and Compliance Obtain written approval from UK I Executive for all new Delegated Authority Schemes, followed up with sign-off in line with our legal processes. Oversee the renewal process for all existing D.A. schemes, ensuring that Executive approval is obtained. Coordiante annual contract review of all Delegated Authority schemes, including support for our Risk & Conduct Officer on DA regulatory requirements. Complete the annual plan for underwriting audits across all delegated authority business, working on case selection and providing M.I. to audit teams as required. Coordinate a quarterly peer review process for all delegated authority schemes. Oversight Maintain a SharePoint site for all Scheme data and M.I. Update centralised M.I. used for audits or Delegated Authority review. Ensure wider business stakeholders anre updated on changes, performance and key focus areas. Facility governance Work with Distribution team to ensure that all fee for service arrangements are supported by an executed contract. Be the link between our Distribution team and wider LoB Managers to ensure they are aware of our Facility performance and are included in change discussions Work with BDMs and National Broking Managers to ensure that all facilities adhere to Chubb governance framework. Oversee service delivery for all facilities, ensuring that payments are linked to actual performance. Operations Work with UK I Operations management to ensure that all bordereaux transactions are processed correctly. Ensure that Bordereaux data on D.A. schemes is correctly formatted for all regulatory returns, including ELTO. Engage with broker partners and key internal stakeholders to identify and resolve bordereaux processing errors and report on delays. Qualifications Extensive commercial insurance experience, either with an insurer or broker. Previous experience with Delegated Authority Schemes and Broker Facilities is desirable. A background of working on governance frameworks and internal control systems is desirable. Knowledge of key Chubb product lines. Degree/ACII desirable.
