Job Description
The Simulation and Optimization Specialist will foscus on Advanced Analytics and Systems Development in the global logistics and supply chain sector. It involves leveraging simulation and optimization techniques to drive operational improvements, manage complex projects, and support strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing innovative solutions, conducting detailed data analysis, and contributing to the creation of digital twin technologies and process optimizations. As a part of Group Technology Team, you will drive the Simulation & Optimization projects by
3. participating in the conceptualization, design, simulation, and evaluation of advanced technologies and operational concepts to enhance productivity and efficiency
4. driving supply chain transformation by optimizing facility layouts and configurations for new greenfield projects, and evaluate process improvements at maritime terminals and logistics facilities across a global network
5. providing decision-makers with analytical support for visualizing and evaluating multi-million dollar options, selecting conceptual designs, and participating in the development of simulation-based digital twin capabilities
The Successful Applicant
The qualified candidate must have:
6. Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
7. At least 3 years of experience in Business analytics, business process redesign, Simulation and/or Optimization methods
8. Familiarity in Data Mining, Analysis, and Forecasting; SQL
9. Full stack development experience, application systems & architectural design; .Net, Java, C++, Python
10. Experience in discrete event simulation software packages; AutoMod
11. Ability to translate complex quantitative data into clear and useful insights
12. Skilled in solving complex problems with precision, an innovative mindset & adept at managing cross-cultural sensitivities
