As a Management Accountant, your role will be based from our Bury St Edmunds offices on an agile working basis (50%). Your role will be to perform month-end accounting processes, prepare balance sheet reconciliations and be responsible for the delivery of high-quality outputs while managing and interacting with various stakeholders across the business.

Your role as a Management Accountant...
1. Perform month-end accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial information.
2. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are supported, highlighting any risks or opportunities and actioning all differences in the control accounts promptly.
3. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality reports, information and commentary to provide insights to enable the business to make effective strategic and operational decisions.
4. Ensure that all processes and procedures are implemented in accordance with GAAP principles and comprehensively documented to establish a robust controls environment.
5. Support the internal and external audit processes.
6. Maintain a detailed knowledge of source data, and the structure and use of financial information from core systems which feeds into the financial statements.
7. Understand the impact of operational changes to procedures and core business systems to ensure correct accounting treatment and up-to-date posting books.
8. Provide support to the Senior R2R Manager and COE Financial Controller on ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Qualifications
1. Qualified with a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA is preferable. QBE will be considered.
2. Experienced with finance and ERP software together with a strong knowledge of reporting tools such as Excel and PowerPoint (Power BI would be an advantage but not essential).
3. Experience with Cognos tools beneficial but not essential.
4. Large company experience is essential.
5. Knowledge of the retail and hospitality industry is an advantage.
