Were looking for an experienced TIG Welder (Manual) to join one of our prestigious clients based in Congleton!
Youll be responsible for performing high-quality manual TIG welding on thin materials, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and company policies. Your expertise in TIG welding will be crucial in maintaining the precision and quality our projects demand. Youll inspect your work and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
Interpret engineering drawings and documentation to determine product manufacturing requirements
Ensure calibration of measuring and production equipment and report any issues
Select and set up tools, reporting defects or worn tools to the Team Leader
Follow manual welding procedures, maintaining qualified welder status through approved tests
Inspect your work for quality and compliance, addressing discrepancies with relevant personnel
Support cross-functional training and assist in training new or temporary staff
Promote workspace organisation and adhere to health and safety practices
Hours
Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm
Pay
£16.83 per hour / £31,505.76 per annum
Skills/Experience Required
Essential
Experience in an engineering environment
Proficiency in manual TIG welding on thin materials (0.4mm 3mm)
Familiarity with jigs, assembly aids, and engineering drawings
NVQ Level 3 Welding Engineering apprenticeship
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow job cards and welding procedures
Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and good hand-eye coordination
Desirable
Familiarity with Titanium, Stainless steel, and Nickel alloy materials
