SDET (Automation) – Once a week in Manchester office - £55,000

Key Responsibilities:
* Spearheaded the design, development, and maintenance of our automation framework, making key decisions on environments, architecture, and strategies to ensure smooth and scalable automation.
* Lead by example in both technical expertise and team collaboration.
* Work closely with the Head of Development, Software Engineering Managers, and developers to define testing strategies and align automation efforts with business goals.
* Implement and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, API, and performance testing, ensuring flawless software quality across multiple stages of development.
* Identify, document, and track defects with a keen eye for detail, collaborating with developers to swiftly resolve issues and maintain a smooth testing pipeline.
* Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and release management to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software.
* Keep up with emerging trends in automation and software testing, always looking for innovative ways to improve and enhance test processes.
* Continuously seek out process improvements to increase test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall productivity.
What You’ll Bring:
* A solid background in Test Plan preparation, estimation, status reporting, and manual testing (UAT/System/Regression).
* Working knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with automated testing.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and version control systems (e.g., Git).
